Do you have a sponsor and wish to apply for the 482 visa? Buenaventura-Law-News-TSS-482-Visa-Application-Deadline

There is still time to complete labour market testing and submit your nomination before July 1. The visa application can be lodged at a later date.

The Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (subclass 482) allows skilled workers to travel to Australia and work in their nominated occupation for their approved sponsor for a maximum period of four years (duration may vary based on Standard Business Approval Term).

Upon completing three years of paid employment, eligible individuals can apply for the Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) (Transitional) to obtain permanent residency.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to apply for the TSS-482 visa before July 1, 2023. After this date, the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) will increase from $53,900 to $70,000. New nomination applications must meet the new TSMIT or the annual market rate salary, whichever is higher.

Existing visa holders and nominations submitted before July 1, 2023, are not affected by this change. The 482 visa now offers a pathway to Permanent Residency after two years for all occupations, making it even more appealing. However, most employers prefer to apply under the current TSMIT.
